Junior Trader – Corporate FX Accounts
Role Overview
The job of the Junior Trader will be to manage corporate foreign exchange accounts assigned by the MTFX Director of Trading. The incumbent will be responsible for customer retention, monitoring market information and ensure the growth and profitability of the assigned portfolio of corporate accounts
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for originating, analyzing, presenting, negotiating and closing foreign exchange account portfolios and monitoring revenues, profitability and portfolio growth
- Provide pertinent information to clients through deal structuring finesse
- Update clients via market reports on FX and macro-economic market movements that may impact their cross-currency transaction decision-making (training will be provided)
- Process deals using the MTFX Trading Platform
- Manage and cultivate client loyalty through proactive phone calls and responding to customer inquiries of various complexities regarding world wide wire transfer services or transaction settlement, spot contracts & forward contracts
- Adherence to compliance obligations, corporate risk management, Anti-Money Laundering laws of FINTRAC and MTFX’s policies & procedures
Qualifications
- A post-secondary education involving a combination of Math, Business Management, Economics, Marketing & Communications is strongly preferred
- Adept in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
- High degree of personal initiative, organizational and time management skills
- Strong level of professionalism is a must during interactions with clients and business partners
Salary
The Junior Trader is offered a base salary and commissions
